The stunning and famous Luangwa Valley hosts 3 National Parks– South Luangwa, Luambe and North Luangwa – all three being home to a wide range of more than 100 mammal species, along with numerous birds and reptiles.
The area is nourished by the Luangwa River which emerges in Northern Zambia at the border to Tanzania and majestically flows downstream covering an area of approximately 1000 km until it reaches the Zambezi. Although parts of the river dry out during the hot season, many smaller lagoons retain water all year round and therefore attract wildlife.
We have created a few packages to cover South Luangwa - the best-known and most visited park in Zambia - as well as the remote and rather untouched wilderness area of Luambe National Park.
